Default Windshield replacement

I had my windshield replaced and it was a bad job. Windshield sits to high - properly old glue was not removed, lots of scratches in paint around and the wipers seems to sit wrong – like the passenger side wiper comes very far up on the windshield and does not clear the bottom. I think it is me that have gotten crazy (happens when you mess with my Jag) because all the guy most have done is loosening the arms without disconnecting the fluid hoses - so they can’t really be mismatched.
Can someone confirm that the arms can be loosened without removing the hoses?
Thanks - I know the question is a little silly - please bear with me.

Yes I am crazy - found that out when I came home. It is possible to remove the arms without disconnecting the hose.
