X350 cd problems
Ok so my boot changer decided to stick, wasnt a problem i just occasionally had to open it up to unstick it, well that was at least until the ribbon cable broke so i got a second hand one from ebay, disnt work but the guy assures me that it was fully tested before it left him and maybe the problem lies somewhere else in the car, now i did try to fix the ribbon cable, unsuccessfully as i was on holiday and as we all know if something in the system isnt connected you have nothing, so its not impossible that i didnt cause a problem elsewhere if the wires were slightly crossed on my join, so my question is, what are the three proper wires for that go into the cd player, im thinking the blacks an earth and one of the others a live then the third gives a signal of sorts, now its registering a circuit because i have sound on the radio but it just keeps saying cd error or no magazine installed, the eject wont work on the cd, and it doesnt even try to load a cd, nothing moves inside at all, thoughts please, is the cd player a dud, it cost £70 i sure hope not, how could i test it, is there a fuse somewhere although with a blown one i guess no
circuit so no sound, boy this optical systems so confusing all i can say is why lol and sorry clearly this is more than ine question, all help greatly appreciated
