X350 - Has anyone regretted going from air bags to coil overs?

I am still vacillating whether to replace my clunking Arnott's air shocks to Bilstein OEM air shocks or just convert all corners to coil overs. I know all the plus and minuses for both sides. I have *plenty* of cars to drive so my '04 XJR has been suspended from all driving duty for a couple of months now.
What I'd like to know is if any of you that went to coil overs have regretted that decision. I'd like to hear especially if you have experienced both the air ride and the coil over ride.
Thanx!

I had my 2005 Jaguar XJ8L converted to the Arnott springs fifteen months ago after I rebuilt the compressor and replaced one of the air shocks. I have been very happy about my decision. The ride is pretty much the same unless you make a tight turn in high speed, the car body leaning a little bit more than the air shocks. I sold the air shocks and compressor on ebay that covered the expenses of springs, I installed them myself so the whole thing costed me nothing, and I don't worry about the suspension problems anymore.

I think I've put close to 10k miles on since the conversion. Haven't regretted it and the only downside is it feels a bit rough at low speed where the CATS system would allow the factory system to ride super soft. Then again I went with Strutmasters kit intended for the XJR, which uses the S-Type R spring rates. I figured it couldn't hurt having the slightly stiffer setup with a bit heavier LWB car. Handling and ride at speed is excellent and now that I've put some real miles on them I'm happy with how the car sits height wise.

I appreciate everyone's responses, as I have been thinking about doing the swap as well. My 05 XJ8L gave an air suspension fault code around Christmas, and rode a bit stiff until I got it home and shut it down. The fault went away the next day, and I haven't seen the issue since(but with recent weather, I have probably only put 50-60 miles on it since then). I figure if the error comes back and stays, I will most likely swap out the air suspension for coilovers. I too was concerned that the ride would not be as nice, but am relieved to hear all of the positive responses. Thanks!
