Default X350 V8 model 2006 Speedometer problem

Hello
My brother in law drives an XJ8 (LHD) Sovereign model 2006.
It is now the third time the speedometer needle does not go all the way back to "0" and when the car is motionless the speedometer needle is "stuck" at 30 km/h.
When it happened before we simply disconnected the car battery and it was "reset".
As it is now the 3rd time this has happened we are looking for a more permanent fix.
Anyone experienced a similar problem? Any recommendations as to what can fix it?
Many thanks
Erez Nachtomy

May need to take out and disassemble - mechanism behind that holds needle in place might be loose.

Cam across this issue on a XF once, had sent out to be repaired.

Mine is doing the same. Battery is already disconnected and the needle stays at 30 mph. I drive at 35 mph to work, needle was at 70 mph. It just started today, funny thing this morning I saw the instrument cluster and though: "what a wonder all these instruments work even though I don't anything about this car previous history".... well Jinxie strikes back.
