X350 XJR wheel size downgrade

17" wheels were available from Jaguar only for the V6s and the 3.5 V8 engines, and they will definitely not fit on any supercharged X350-X358, be it with the Brembo brakes or with the later ones, because in both cases the rrtors are bigger than on the n/a versions.

And guess what, there is a reason why the rotors are bigger on the supercharged models! If you downgrade the brakes on your car, at least here in Germany the car will lose its homologation and will not be fit for use in traffic anymore... beware of traffic patrol checks!

I, too, use 18" luxury wheels with winter tires in the cold season and 19" custom wheels with summer tires in the warm season, and I actually prefer the handling with the 19" wheels, but that may be because 1) winter tires handle differently from summer tires, so it is not only the size that matters in my case, and 2) because as a Super V8 my car has the comfort suspension.
