X358 XJR
A couple of weeks ago, I finally found a replacement for the long serving and suffering X350 (XJ6); an XJR. I had decided upon what the car would be, purchasing an appropriate registration number for it a short while previously.
Having considered almost all available, from one offered at a little less than £4,000, could be bought for £3,000, imo, actually a very nice, honest car and exceptional value, to cloud cuckoo land dealer offered examples at up to £23,000, I am delighted with my choice of an all black ex senior Jaguar management car with all the kit and a service / maintenance log inches thick, compiled by the aerospace design engineer who passed it on to me for £7,000.

Four years later.
Now past 153,000 miles, it has given excellent service, total reliability, and a tremendous amount of fun. I eventually decided that I didn't like the silver wing vents, so had them brought in with the rest of the body. A few minor problems;- cracked intake, blocked catalytic convertors, worn pulleys, supercharger coolant pump, radiator, etc have been replaced with less expensive, and in some cases superior, aftermarket items. It has also had a wishbone, a pair of drop links, and numerous tyres, mostly rears.
