I bought my 2008 XJR about 5 years ago, after a while I wondered how many had been built so, I sent an enquiry to Jaguar Heritage to see if they could help and I received the below response.

Now I started to wonder with so few being built where are they all.

Hello, I'll chime in here, as the owner of a 2009 XJR. My wife found mine (at a Carmax no less) in Feb. 2013, with only 16K miles on it. It was in immaculate condition, and has largely been trouble-free, other than some air suspension issues that were rectified under the Jaguar Extended Warranty that I was able to purchase since the car was under factory warranty when I bought it.

Unfortunately, this pristine vehicle was rear-ended on the freeway last spring at 65mph, and spent 6 weeks in the body shop. The rear quarter panel was replaced, and the rear valence panel was supposed to be, but was NLA, so it was "repaired." As with all body repair, none of this was perfect, but it is back on the road. Sadly, it is now a car with a collision repair history, and will never be worth what it could be as a very scarce model. This scarcity has been evident as I deal with the at fault party's insurance company on the diminished value aspect of the claim, and they have had a very difficult time establishing value based upon any comparables.

Ill toss mine in too, bought it about 4 years ago, 2006 XJR, had 62K when I bought it, up to 82K now and will never sell it even if I buy (most likely) another Jag. Im located in Chandler (Phoenix) Arizona.

 

2008 XJR ordered October 18, 2007. Build date Jan 4, 2008. Picked up February 27, 2008.
