Default XJ8 cranks but no start (P0627)

Hello! Have a XJ8 4.2 that one day didnīt feel like starting anymore. "Engine system fault" lights up and also the check engine light is on.
IDS diagnostic says P0627. Fuse ok and also inertia switch.
Thoughts anyone?!

Must be something with the fuel pump/system. Did you try disconnecting your battery? to see if the fault goes away?

Or maybe that's not a good idea. How about your fuel level does it show as having fuel? In my case the REM was disconnect thats why it didn't start but cranked.

Sometimes things just glitch. So if it shows that u have gas try disconnecting the REM and them reconnecting it?

Once again, some on should chime in, i'm a noob, but that's what I would try.

Well I have disconnected pump and coneected it manually and the pump works. Located 4 different fuses and the where all ok. There is no signal from REM to the pump so right now my money is on the fuel pump relay, that is integrated in the fusebox of course.....

Hmm, don't know if a wiring diagram would help you or not. Wondering where u can get one of those anyway...

good luck, I'll let u know if I think of something... unlikely... but it may come in a dream lolol..

Edit, if it is ur REM maybe u can send it out for repair. I know a company here in toronto that does things like that. It's called speedofix. Perhaps you can locate something similar in ur area. (cheaper than buying a new one?)
