Hi
Does anyone know how much space their is for an aftermarked door tweeter in the XJ8? - it is very tight and it is hard to judge how much space their is. I would like to install a Polk audio dB5251 2way comp set in all 4 doors in the original location, tweeter dimensions is diameter 2-1/16" and deapth is 1-1/4".
I would feel very silly buying this set and not beeing able to install the tweeters - so if someone has a good idea, maybe from their own speaker replacement experience, your inputs are highly appreciated

I have a similar question. I have a 01 VDP XJ8, and the tweeter in the driver A-pillar is toast. I have pulled it out, and have not found a replacement online. Is there an equal aftermarket alternative? Mine is 1 and 3/8 inch diameter (round) and about 3/4 deep with wire connections. Ideas?

According to that they are 20mm dome tweeters, which translates into them being smaller than 1 inch...25mm is an inch. It's hard finding speakers that will fit...I've been looking to try to find the ones that are on the front dash...it's a strange size
