Your problem sounds very similar to mine, you said you can get the starter to crank. Have you tried to turn the key to II position and cranking the starter again (jumping) and will the car start?

Don't press the panic button. Have it towed to your local Jag dealer, and have them take a look at it. It's not an intermittent problem at least so they should be able to find what's wrong.

I had the same issue of no start and for some reason I disconnected the positive cable at the starter and cleaner it. That did it in my case.... Another easy thing to try along the way.

He's also claiming that the windows will not go up, and the radio will not work (among other things). Fortunately, it's not an intermittent electrical problem so it shouldn't take long at all for a Jag dealer to repair it.

Default Starter works but car won't start?

I did get the sunroof to close by turning the key to lock position.

I missed something in your tale of woe. You state that you jumped the starter and it works but you didn't say if the car would also start that way.

Very odd for it not to crank .....AND..... also not start if you jump the starter and the starter works. You've checked the solenoid ?? You checked the continuity of the feed wire to the solenoid? You've checked the continuity of the solenoid to starter connection?

Very odd for some of the electrics to work while others refuse to even with a new battery. You've checked all of the grounds??

I have a nasty feeling that someone is going to steal a car and get it fixed on the cheap for something that's been overlooked.

Good luck.
