XJR aftermarket wheel options
Hello,
I've damaged my 20" Cremona alloys and the replacements are close to AU$2000 each! I think it would be worthwhile switching to aftermarket alloys.
I know Coventry Wheels do wheels that will fit the car, but there is not much choice in their range.
Who else does wheels that will fit? 20*9", 5*108mm, Centre Bore 63.4mm. Not certain of offset. I'd prefer not to have to use spacers or centre bore bushes.
What about the wheel pressure monitors? Will they attach to aftermarket wheels and if not does that mean I'll get permanent TPMS faults?
Cheers,
Steve

Hello pumpkinate ,
Before I make some suggestions , I to have damaged wheels and have researched extensively for after market jag wheels . The best for off the shelf and perfect fitment ( no mods ) and available in Australia are the Coventry wheels , well priced to.
Excellent wheels , but Like you I thought the same , very little choice .
There's not really a lot out there , but this is what I found out any way .
If you already haven't searched Ebay , try it under ,
1. 20 inch alloy wheel
2. 5 x 108 alloy wheel
3. Jaguar wheels
4. Google BBS wheels - large range of choice but costly
5. Google SIMMONS wheels - not much in 5 x 108 PCD
6. Google www.sbwheels.co.uk - re manufactured Jag wheels .
I'm still looking , but on that last site the BBS PERSEUS on picture gallery 2 come pretty close to what suites my car .
Good luck with that any way ,
Sid
PS , where in ozz are you ?

Hi Sid,
Thanks very much for your reply, much appreciated! You have got much further with this than I have.
I've messaged a couple of EBay dealers in the US but got responses along the lines of "can't guarantee they will fit, particularly with the Brembos".
Another option I found is Niche wheels. They have a few series and do models with the 5*108 bolt spacing. Here is their "Sport Series" (I think the cheapest):
SPORT SERIES Wheels - Niche Wheels
There is a dealer for these in Sydney:
Car Alloy Wheels & Rims | Tyres | Sydney NSW, Australia
My car is in Sydney but I live up between Byron and Lismore, I visit Sydney enough to warrant having a car based there.
I'm still not sure how aftermarket wheels in general will go with the tyre pressure monitors? The guy at Taleb Tyres said they will be OK with Niche wheels, and I know that the Coventry wheels take them too.
Thanks again,
Steve

Steve ,
I guess my , or our problem is , it's hard to find wheels that do these cars justice .
You need a wheel that says " yes it's luxury sedan but also a sports sedan " it's only when you start looking you realize how hard it is .
The tyre press monitors won't be a problem , they will adapt to most wheels .
My wheels are 19 inch and I am considering going down to 18 inch , I know it will be a smoother ride , I don't think there's enough rubber to cushion the bumps with 19 or 20 inch wheels .
Between Byron Bay Lismore ,you know they call that Gods Country , really a beautiful part of NSW .
What ever you decide on , try and stick to genuine Jag wheels if you can , they really were designed for these cars .
Take care mate ,
Sid
