From what I can tell looking at the pics, it is in pretty rough shape. Seeing it in person is a whole different thing. I see at least a couple grand worth of re-conditioning including a new steering wheel and headliner. In person these cars often look really beat and a complete reconditioning could be thousands of dollars. That's probably why the price is so low. There are plenty of used ones out there for not too much more money in significantly better condition. Well worth spending more for something you can be confident in. Just my 2 cents

Here's my take. It looks pretty good to me for an 81K mile vehicle. If everything works (and I do mean everything), the wheels are not chewed up and the general cosmetics are good then it's a fair price. More than fair actually.
Cosmetics can eat you alive to correct. Bad cosmetics equal a careless owner or two and no sale. Mechanical shortcomings can be dealt with if they aren't too serious and you can do a few mechanical chores yourself. More serious mechanical issues --- run, do not walk away.
Let us know how this develops. It's an interesting car for the money. If the car has been well cared for it's good for 200K miles.

I agree, seeing it in person is everything. But in the pics I can see the hugh water stains on the headliner, the leather worn off of the steering wheel and as Alan pointed out, the tires are too far under the fenders. I have seen these cars as well as Rovers when the air suspension fails, they look "dropped".

I recently bought a car, and it was almost immaculate. I paid a bit more than I had planned, but it has almost zero issues. I got them to do a complete brake job and an alignment, change the oil, etc. I have ZERO regrets right now. My advice: Wait, save, position yourself, make yourself be patient, until you are ready financially and a well-kept car comes to you. There will ALWAYS be another deal.
I passed on MANY cars, for over 2 YEARS. It was VERY DIFFICULT, but most worthwhile.

Otherwise I'll just pass.
