Hoping it's a new or rebuilt trans.

What do you reckon?

Tried to upload a video but this site can't handle .Mp4 files apparently.
I think you are on the right track. The P1611 points to the throttle body. I was going to say stepper motor for sure. Remember, the pedal in the car is not cable driven, but electrically driven.

Easy, jack up the car, disconnect battery. Rear of trans, passenger side you'll see the connector.

You'll know if it's leaking straight away!

I have a spare TPS that I acquired a whike back, but just bought a brand new complete throttle body and gasket. Plan to fit it this weekend.

Is there a write-up anywhere? Or has anyone on here done it themselves?

Thanks!

Knowing our XJR's - it's going to most likely be a PITA. I didn't want to fiddle totally removing the throttle body when I replaced my blown out brake booster o ring on the plenum.

The biggest challenge will be space constraints from my best recollection.
