I put in the low temp thermostat today with some good results
Truth be known its been sitting on the shelf for over a year. I only installed it because ive moved to a warmer climate and I have a track day coming up this weekend
Its the same one installed in Cambos car and we sourced this part when he had thermostat issues
My average temps have been 93-95c and this has gone down to 88-90 with the new one
The OEM thermostat is fully open at 88c according to JTIS however it is marked as 84c on the body. The new one is a 77c unit
The new part number is a Dayco DT58E
Dayco Mobile
When installing the thermostat you will find the thermostat housing has a lug inside the casting. This lug is on the part you take off to access the thermostat (the one with the radiator hose attached). You need to remove about 5mm off the top of the lug to get the new thermostat to fit. This can easily be done with a Dremel, Die Grinder or even a file. Other than that is a drop in fits using the OEM thermostat o ring
Anyway thought Id post this so everyone has access to the part number
Cheers
