Default Xmas lights

The car would always start fine cold but the second or third restart might bring in all the lights on the dash. And the issue was getting more frequent-almost every time I drove it.The engine always started but the shifter wouldn't move out of park unless I used the second key position and started the car while in neutral.Usually after 2 or 3 or 4 times of starting and shutting off the lights would all go off except for the check engine light. Some of the codes indicated the tps so I replaced the throttle body with an oe one.At 101000miles I figured it was time for a new tp s and drive motor anyway. So I start the car after installing the new unit and all the lights come back on.I notice that the scangauge that I keep plugged in has a blank screen so I unplugged it and try restarting the car and no lights come on.It's been 3weeks and no Xmas lights have come back on.If I plug the scangauge back in the lights come back on so there must be a problem in the scangauge.I'm just happy the lights are not coming back on.And replacing the throttle body has made the idle much smoother than it was before so it's was well worth the money -cost about 300.00 with shipping.Well worth the price!

Had the same issue with scan gauge. Did away with it and the colorful display went away.
