Default Which ZF Gearbox is in a 2006 XJR?

My 2006 XJR has 155,00 miles on it and I would like to buy a fluid and pan kit.

I read the sticky "ZF Gearbox Faults, Root Causes and Troubleshooting but did not determine whether the XJR has the 6HP26 or 6HP28 gearbox.

Apparently both are installed in X350 cars. I am assuming one is in the XJ8 and the other is in the XJR?

Can anyone tell me which I would have?

AFAIK all X350 cars had the 6HP26 box. According to Wikipedia, the 6HP28 came out in 2006, but was fitted to the X351, the Xj saloon that replaced the X350/358 series of cars in 2009.

Any idea what the difference between the two are?

I have the 6HP26 in my 2005 XJR and the 6HP28 in my 2013 Range Rover Sport.

I am presuming they both take Lifeguard 6?

Thank you Partick the Cat.

I have been driving my 2013 Range Rover Sport HSE a lot recently and am impressed with its power even tho it is not super charged. i have applied a Velocityap tune.

The speed warning in the Rover was set at 156mph!!! I changed that.

However when I drove my 2005 XJR for the first time in a while the other day I realized just how fast my XJR is.
