1996 Jaguar XJ6 vanden plas - electrical issues
hi can any one help me? got my jag running and drove it for a day and when i stopped at a gas station i found out my steering tilt and mirrors dont work shifter locked in park so i moved the hex screw and over ride the lock and got it started by running direct to starter. so i am ordering a new steering module. but when i turn of the vehicle the lights stay on and flash a few times, the headlights, signals, interior lights.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 60 seconds... and see if things are reset. I found the same problem last week (97 X300)... everything was dead. I did a quick reset with the battery and everything worked perfectly..

You should check all the fuses. That is easier (at least for me) than looking up which circuits run the BPM outputs. Turn on the key, then use a test light (to ground) to probe the little hole on the outside top edge of each fuse. when you find one not lighting, check the inside hole to be sure the circuit is powered up.
