Hey gents, first post here!
Hoping to get some help here, looking for a belt diagram and hopefully some assistance on what belts I need.
i took my car to the shop for a new alternator a few weeks ago and had it returned with no belts on it. I’m giving up having people work on my car so I’m just going to put belts on myself.
any assistance would be great, really pulling my hair out here trying to find what I need
The garage probably had a stuck alternator belt tensioner rod / shaft that you can remove from the engine block by 1 bolt , 10 mm , clean the threads with a wire brush on a vice and work in some penetrating oil , may have to put heat on the threaded block on the tensioner rod / shaft
The alternator long pivot bolt is 15 or 17 mm on each side , there is 1 shouldered short ( one engine mount clevis ear ) bushing in the pivot that stays in place , this has to be done from underneath as may need to loosen first
The A/ C compressor belt tensioner adjustment is a whole different story , do not strip the 4 sided head of the adjustment long bolt
There is 1 / 5 amp small fuse that is missed on alternator issues as it takes power to make power ( winding excitation )
Assuming you do not have supercharger then you need an Alternator belt (Blue) and an AC Compressor belt (Red). The other belt and pulleys are Supercharged only.
