Don,
I swapped the coils for #5 and #6 and there is no change in the behavior, but it did not throw any codes (after only a few minutes driving, yet I certainly felt the missing and sputtering).
So, I'll change the fuel filter and drive more miles and see if I can get it to throw a code.
Cheers!
Charles

I had the fuel filter put in by my mechanic and I'm glad I had him do it.
Up on the rack, gas dripping constantly, wrestling with the sheet metal wrap-around filter clamp, grumbling all the while.
:-)
I swapped #5 and #6 coils and the miss remains, but it has not thrown any codes after a few days of driving.
:-(
I'll wait and pay attention.
Any other thoughts out there in Jag-land?

Well, after a week or so, it still misses when cold (and some when hot).
But, no codes thrown.
So, I'll wait a bit more...
I had my mechanic put the fuel filter in - and am I ever glad I had HIM do it!
20 minutes of him muttering and grumbling, wrestling with the wrap-around clamp while gas dripped on him continually.
:-)
And, it still misses.
