In my experience, the best angle for fitting the grease gun on the nipples is with the inboard zerk fittings pointing slightly up and rear....a little above 90 deg to the rear. Outboard, IIRC, a little below 90 deg to the rear. Both are awkward and I found it much more convenient to us a pneumatic grease gun because I only have 2 hands. One is req'd to hold the hose on the nipple, and then two to pump the gun, excepting if you can wedge it against the floor or your chest and just actuate the handle. Much easier to squeeze a trigger....

Might be the micro-switch located inside the door latch assembly.

The latch can be removed and then the switch removed from the latch.

I was never able to find a replacement switch. Maybe by now someone has identified a source. It's quite small, about .625" square.

I brought mine back to life by dousing it with electric contact cleaner. The only way to get the aerosol cleaner into the innards of the switch was to remove the rubber boot that seals the plunger. This destroys the boot...so I uses a glob of heavy grease as a sealant of sorts. Still Ok years later when I sold the car

On Lady P, did you respray a coat of clear to the rims?

 

No , there bare with no buffing . Later I'll just wax them . 1 quart aircraft stripper ( at the auto part store ) will do all 5 . Might get by without removing tire as you can try one . Let it set for 15 min . No masking needed as it washes off with soap and water and a brush . To easily clearcoat them see video :
