My uncle gave me his jaguar for my first car and it is in great condition. i have had no problems other then the doors unlock by themselves randomly while sitting in the driveway. ill go to school and come home to see it is unlocked and today i washed it and made sure all the doors, the trunk, and the hood were closed completely and all 4 doors were locked and when i came back a couple hours later it was unlocked. i know the doors don't unlock immediately so i don't think its the same problem others are having on these forums or others.

Could we rule out stray 315mhz signals by removing the Security System fuse #4 in the boot/trunk area for a day ?

I must say though, I have never seen a post indicating the security system accidentally unlocked from an unauthorized signal.

If your uncle also gave you remotes for the car, it might be a better idea to just re-register the remote/remotes with the normal re-programming steps.
