Cool 95 XJ6 air co and radiator fan

May 25
Hi everybody
A long week end ahead to pamper our cats !

I went to have my air co recharged as it is not blowing very cold.

The specialist told me that the bottom left hand radiator fan should be on at all tmes when Airco on.

Mine is not on at all times.

My question 1 is : is there somewhere a relay or a sensor for this?

My question 2 is : would the Body Control module had something to do in this matter

Help, it is getting HOT in NC

Thanks

Claude

The fan switch is on your radiator, dont bother changing it, but jaguar later made these cars to have the fan running at all times because fuse issues I believe. If you have two fans and only one is working you should check that fan motor because it is bad. if one fan has power they both do.

Claude,

Just went and checked mine. 12/95 build, 3.2ltr.

With the a/c ON, BOTH fans at LOW speed ALL THE TIME.

NO a/c, is NO fans at all, as I have relayed the bridge that Jag did, so the fans are now temp controlled with NO a/c, and ON at all times the a/c is ON. I still do not trust anyones pressure switches enough to go the whole hog (the reason for the bridge in the first place).

I reckon your man is WRONG as to lower fan only. They are wired together, so unless one is seized or burnt out they should both work when switched.

Please remember I am down here, and our cars are a tad different to USA cars, but I think this area is the same????????.

Smile AC and radiator fans

saturday morning

Thank you guys,

Here is the situation

Both fans are working but NOT all the time

With AC on or not both fans react only to the water temperature but not th the E/C

So they kick in only once in a while but not at all time

I am wondering is this could vbe linked to the Body Control Module or not

All the shop and technical manuals are very vague on this subjet

Thanks again fot your help

I really appreciate it

So any new thoughts are most welcomed.

Thanks

Claude

Dear Straight6DOHC

Thanks for the links to the two bulletins related to my problem

But my car is an early 95 and I would need the Bulletin 14-02, do you know where to find it. I can't

Thanks
