Default 95 XJ6 Hit a curb, blew both drivers side tires, car wont start

I hit a curb last week and blew both driver's side tires, didn't bend the rim thankfully. Got the tires replaced and remounted. Started the car and drove 100 feet and parked it. 4 days later went to move the car and it won't start. Turns over but no ignition. Going to try the inertia reset first. What is second?

The inertia switch controls the fuel flow, so that's a good place to start. Good luck.

Unlikely to be the inertia switch because had it been activated you could not have restarted the car right away. I suspect your car battery is getting weak.

Inertia switch doesn't always mechanically reset and can be fickle . It can be bypassed with paperclip across both white wires . Works for me .

Yes on the full battery charge before hot wiring the inertia switch and listen for the fuel pump for the first 3 -5 seconds as it primes the fuel rail and turns off by design . This occurs before you hit the starter key position as you have the key in the run position . The fuel pump will come back on as the ECU sees engine rotation

If the car was cold it might be just that the ECU is confused, try cranking with the accel pedal on the floor to see if it is flooded?

Battery was low on charge. Recharged but still won't start. Turns over but won't ignite. Checking fuses related to the fuel deliver system next as it did turn over and run briefly last week but that was for less 5 seconds then the engine shut down.

Did you put a paper clip in the inertia ( kill ) switch connector 2 white wires ?

You can hotwire the fuel " on " at all times by taking positive power to the output socket of the fuel pump relay . Use a blade connector on the socket and be careful of high current arcing damage to the relay socket by connecting with a heavy wire to the power source last . It is the FWD relay socket slot wire color Red / Yellow as you can pull up the relay tray and see the wires .

Wonder if there is any physical damage to the underside of the car that may have interrupted the fuel supply or ignition system. Check fuel pressure during starting and look for spark. Fuses and relays would be the first place to look.

Just speculating , may have trapped enough fuel pressure in the lines to give you the 5 second start then stall immediately after the accident , but it's not replenishing .

Pull a plug and ground ( jumper cable to engine block or frame ground stud will work ) to see if you have spark .

Have a look at the relays in the front right of the engine bay, beneath the plastic cover near the washer filler cap. The jolt from the impact could have unseated them, one of which affects fuel supply.

Try a blast of engine start (ether) into the Maf while somebody cranks the engine.
