Default 97 XJ6 front brake duct

Can anyone tell me what the sensor in the passenger side brake cooling duct controls? Does anyone out there have a spare passenger side brake duct they would part with, mine is missing.
Thanks

Ambient air temp for ac, and when you find another duct. Use a couple screws to hold it to the wheel arch liner, you wont "loose" it again

I second that and did it with mine. A sloppy fit that a little extra help warranted!

Would that sensor being missing have any effect on the cooling fans or the heater temp control vale and pump not working? I am having problems with those and am trying to figure them out, I'm not used to working on vehicles with all these sensors and computors i'm an old school mechanic.

While looking for a replacement duct and sensor the ad's say that the passenger duct sensor is for the windshield washer heater, is this wrong?
