Smile 97 xj6L power steering leak - new pump?

HI ALL! Happy almost spring here in Massachusetts! I have a small leak that seems to be from the PS pump. My mechanic will take a closer look. I was wondering how I will find a pump if one is needed? Anyone have any suggestions on where to look or do we have a vendor for this aside from Jaguar? I always appreciate the advice and support from Jag Forum. I love my jag!!

The hoses under the power steering reservoir deform from age and the fluid goes everywhere

You can cut off an inch of the hoses to have fresh hose to clamp back up

If it is the pump leaking, its is pretty easy to rebuild (except for one hard to remove circlip), and the seal kit is cheap.

you can see the process being done in this video

There is a TSB on it's tooling requirements in English to give a head start on alternative procedures at certain points

The overhaul kit is a good find

The cavitation noise of the pump is from worn out contaminated PS fluid. that can be changed in the drain / fill process after about 4 drain cycles you have a higher % of fresh fluid not cavitating.

You can do it yourself and easier then pulling the pump as a first try

Luckily there is no need to remove the drive dog from the shaft when refurbishing the pump, so no need to follow this PSA unless there is a very special case where the two needs to be separated.

Echo that. New seals is a fairly easy task, and cheap.
