Adamesh Exhaust upgrade
I am tempted to order the exhaust system from Adamesh/ quicksilver for my 4.0 Sovereign. Does anybody have any experience with this system ? Is it generally easy to install such a system on your own? Are there other better or cheaper options around?

Hello Tcasmarcus, hello all,
Did you go for the quicksilver exhaust in the end? I am also considering it, but for me it's a lot of money. I am also considering the Mina Gallery exhaust for my XJR6 even with the shipping from the US to the UK and import duty it will be significantly cheaper.
Does anyone have any experience, positive or otherwise, with either of these exhausts.
Thanks,
Nick

Hi nick!
I have not yet purchased it but I am really considering it. It is rather expensive though.. i will make a video if i buy it and post it here..
according to quicksilver it is not loud at all. :
"our sports sytems are designed with the daily driven car in mind. So we are careful to try and minimise the effect of drone when acoustically engineering the exhaust.
We have sold the X300 system through a number of Jaguar specialists around the world and have never had any comlpaints about drone.
It gives the car a distinct, sporty sounding Jaguar tone. Within a crisp sounding note that really rises throughout the rev range. "

Hi,
Lossking the Mina exhaust sounds pretty good on your car. I've had louder exhausts on other cars of mine, they were fun initially but soon got a bit irritating, so that level of volume would be fine with me.
I would be interested in hearing how any X300 owner got on with a Mina exhaust.
Tcasmarcus do let me know if you get the quicksilver in the end.
Thanks,
Nick

From what I understand not all counties have aft / mid Cats but all have rear bumper muffler . The mids are referd to as silencers on parts catalogs if no Cats ? I plan on eliminating the mids and go straight pipe for better flow with Magnaflow ( lower tone vs. trumpets ? ) as a final bumper component for my area in the US does not require a exhaust emissions sniff test . Final research before execution not complete ..
In order to make the downpipe to manifold assembly easier on car I cut the web between banks so to free up the 2 pipes from each other . Using a 1 inch " L " channel I drilled a hole about 9 inches from the end to pivit from the heat shield aftmost bolt . You'll end up ruining the bolt . I used a bowline knot with changing final loop dimensions I was able to walk the 2 pipes up without damaging the important donut flange . I had to switch the loop reach back and forth from one pipe then the other to walk them up . I tied a balled up rag on the upper end of the lever for hitting the windshield in the heat of battle without this protection would be big bad .
