aerial and cd changer
morning guys
got a little prob with the aeriel and cd changer
some days works ok but like this morning, up went aeriel
but get 500 yards down the road and it goes down on its own and i have found the cd unit
does'nt work
stop the car turn off and back on and all ok cd changer works and aeriel goes up
is there a common wire for both units, ie a swithed feed from head unit?
ive checks all earths i can see and all seem ok
cheers

i have to disagree on that one, i have used WD40 for years, i even used it when i worked for IBM and it was far better than contact cleaner, it does what it says on the tin, water displacement, going by the electrics on these cars they are built to the same standard the old mainframes were,, very badly.

whether to follow or not is all up to the individual owner. In fact contact fluid (besides contact cleaner) may not be too familiar with most mechanics, but it is a common relief to the electrical contacts problem since most of the car manufacturers find it problematic when it comes to consistency of electrical current running between metal contacts for automotive electrical system after a duration of usage.
