Default Airbag Control module thermal fuse

Hi all , I have traced an SRS Airbag warning light fault to the Thermal fuse open circuit which is marked as F1 inside the module. Can anyone inform me of a supplier for this fuse or information on its type / size / rating etc to allow me to renew it rather than buying a complete replacement module. I will try to post pictures , fingers crossed 🤞 Tks Ian

The Thermal fuse blows as a fail safe self destruct mechanism when the control module detects a short to ground on one of the trigger circuits - Crash Sensor or Safing Sensor (from memory)

Make sure you have tested and eliminated any faults before replacing the fuse / control module - or the fuse will blow immediately and back to square one.

A fuse sometimes can not be tested with a meter as it is still installed least a sneek circuit path in the circuit board

Brendan , is the 15 amp correct for this Jaguar / Ford unit ?

You can clip off the blown fuse barrel leads and use this WAGO brand lever clamping butt splice in your trouble shooting if the soldiering point is tricky

Ask me if they are neat fidget toys
