Alarm clock buzz coming after NO CONT message went blank

I was getting the NO CONT message on my stereo receiver for awhile. The CD changer worked in and off for a while and then just stopped working. The NO CONT message went blank and I started getting this alarm clock like buzz non-stop. Even after I turned the engine off. And the radio antennae won't go down. Does anyone know what causes this? I had to park my car fixed for 3 days because I was leaving for a vacation. I am expecting to come back to a dead battery.

No idea off hand as your radio is operating out of spec, so no telling....
The radio does have a neat (annoying?) feature of every so often emitting an audible alarm like an electronic clock, with a text message on the display saying something like "clean aerial".
I don't know the interval, but it must be based upon hours of use, but the alarm and display are meant to remind the owner to clean & lubricate the antenna with WD-40.
Perhaps as part of your radio's losing its mind, it has fouled up this alarm function?
I sent my radio to Southern Electronics for a rebuild, and so far it is working like new. Very pleased.
