Antenna mast removal from assembly

Hello all,
My antenna/aerial mast got really knackered so I have had to chop it off at the base. It had been bent before so I was going to get a new one anyway.
After that I took out the rest of the assembly.
Now I have this problem: how do I remove the remnants of the mast from the assembly?
I have opened the assembly, but I don't see how I am going to get the rest of the actual mast out of that aluminum "pipe" if you know what I mean.
And furthermore, is this bolt that I have put in the red square in the picture below supposed to come off the end of that pipe? My one is stuck, probably because of the antenna stub that's still in there.
Please help.
