Default Anyone Fitted Electromagnetic ‘No Hole’ Parking Sensors?

I’m used to driving a hatchback! So I’m thinking parking sensors could be a good idea. But I don’t want to ruin the lines on the XJR6 with little flat mushroom things stuck to the bumper.

Has anyone tried the electromagnetic variant that doesn’t require holes drilled into the bumper?

What sensors would you recommend? Of course I could just park even more carefully than normal but it would be nice to have a bit of reassurance. Thanks.

I also looked that these. The problem is when you stop moving they don’t work. Plus also they don’t identify all objects. I am thinking of getting them anyway since if they don’t work I can just remove them without a trace.

I thought they started working as soon as you engaged reverse, creating an electromagnetic field, then anything that interrupted that field would cause the alarm to sound with slightly different tones depending on how far away the object was. The only negative I can find from reading online is some people reporting them not working after several months/a year or so.

I guess if you got the best (most developed and made with best quality components) system available, at least you'd know it had a good chance of lasting. Bumpers have to be plastic as well, I'm assuming they are for the XJR6? My car isn't with me yet so I can't check.

If it's possible to find a reliable system I think they could be a really good option as sensors drilled into the rear bumper just won't look neat, however it's done, and one of the lovely things about the XJR6 is it's lines.

No they only work when moving. Take a look at this review. https://blog.getmyparking.com/2018/1...and-drawbacks/
