Has anyone replaced the headliner fabric on the sunroof panel? If so, how did you do it? I read the TSB on sunroof removal and it looks like a complex job.
The headliner panel is already out for cleanup. That job was nontrivial, but doable thanks to the tips here in the forum.
The sunroof panel fabric is not sagging, but it is discolored (and smelly) from cigarette smoke. I'd like the sunroof interior to match the rest of the new headliner.
Thanks in advance for any tips.

As Xalty says, it is a quick job to remove the trim panel. There is a distinct technique required, which is fairly obvious once you are aware of the "geography" of the attachments. Google is your friend, and excessive force best avoided as there are some plastic attachments which will break if overstressed.

And the panels are out! Thank you xalty, countyjag, and motorcarman. With the roof panel out of the way, it was easy to see how to gently work the plastic clips on the small inner panel once the metal clips were out. Now to clean off the powdered upholstery foam and old adhesive.
