Auto lock locking me out, closing windows/sunroof!
Forgive me if this has been discussed but I tried a few searches and didn't find my specific problem.
I have two different issues going on which I believe point to the auto lock function. I just want to find the problem and fix it. I'm not sure if I should look inside one of the doors or to the module near the fuel door which I was just reading about. I don't know what it looks like or what it does.
This is driving me crazy. What do I need to do to make this stop?

- When I get into the car and start her up sometimes I will open some windows and maybe the sunroof before starting to drive. Then when I put the car into reverse or drive and the doors lock, all open windows and the sunroof automatically close.
- Often when I unlock the car via the key fob, I will grab the driver's door handle to enter the car and it will immediately lock and not allow me in! It's almost comical except that I don't have much patience when it happens. I step back, hit unlock, reach for the handle and as soon as I try to open the door it locks again. The only way I can get in is to insert the key into the lock, turn it clockwise, and while holding the key in that position open the door.

Sounds like the driver's door latch switch is faulty/sticky??? Maybe the actuator is not forcing the mechanism far enough. You might disassemble the trim and lube everything and see if that fixes it.
You could also disable 'Driveaway Locking' and 'Global Closing' but if the actuator is lazy then the door will not fully unlock anyway.

Thanks so much for the reply Bob! I was planning on taking the door apart this wekend. Would you recommend that I use contact cleaner or something different? And which trim are you referring to?
From what I've read on this forum I would need special harware and/or software to disable Driveaway Locking, no?

The interior trim on the door (AKA door card, trim panel, etc.) should be removed to properly lube the entire mechanism. All the little link arms/rods should be inspected for corrosion.
The configuration needs to be carried out with a dealer level computer to 'enable/disable' CONVENIENCE FEATURES if you want to change them.

There appears to be a new wrinkle. Maybe this will help troubleshoot the problem (if anyone cares to assist). Twice I have put it in park and exited the car while it was running and both times the engine has shut off. Is this some kind of safety feature or anti theft measure?
I took the door apart again and sprayed everything with contact cleaner but it's still happening. I'm about out of patience! Please help!
