Backlight repair source for Climate Control and Radio?
I sent my USA 97 VDP clock off to ModuleMaster to get the display fixed (as per info found in the forum, thanks!).
But I also have display issues with the factory radio and the Climate Control LCDs. The radio display is always dark, and the climate control LCD seems to be left-half lit only.
[Yes, I'm aware that replacing the radio with an aftermarket radio is an option, but I really want to keep it authentic.]
Given the effort (and the broken parts!) resulting from extracting the clock (even WITH the excellent sources I found in the forum), I’m thinking to have all three units fixed now, before putting the ski slope back together.
Any suggestions for a vendor to do the climate and radio display repairs?

Climate control: as I recall all the bulbs are DIY replacement. There's a plastic cover on the back of the unit. Remove the cover and you'll see the twist-lock bulbs.
The twist lock bulbs are readily available from many on-line electronics specialists. I tried umpteen of them and couldn't get the rght color or intensity. I ended up with some bulbs out of a used unit (long story). New bulbs from Jaguar are stupic expensive (like $7.00 each) but, IMHO, that'll seem cheap compared to the aggravation of experimenting with a variety of wrong bulbs for $1.00 each.
Radio: if your good at disassembling...and reassembling...intricate things, the radio backlght and display screen bulbs can be a DIY job. The bulbs are soldered in, though. You'll need some tiny "grain of wheat" bulbs (Radio Shack has them) and some blue/green paint to tint them.
Or...have a radio repair shop do the job.
Cheers
