during some recent troubleshooting and repair work I found a small cb radio/coaxial like connector beneath the center console and a clear plastic electrical connector on a solid white wire lying within the wire harness in the battery compartment. anyone know what these are for? uploading some pics:

 

I think the coax in the centre console is for an antenna, or some other aspect of a factory fitted phone. The other wiring and connectors may well be in there also, as most of the wiring looms are common to all models, regardless of actual spec, or of what is, or isn't fitted.

As for the white wire in the battery compartment, it's part of a fitting that is in place during transit to the dealer. Can't remember the purpose, but it's removed by the dealer before sale and then becomes obsolete. Don't connect anything to it. Just leave it be!
