My 96 Sovereign does the same thing.I keep meaning to look in the owners handbook to see if it's an actual "feature" which I suspect it is. It makes some sort of sense, that if you slow down, you dont have the natural flow through of air, so the blower compensates, and vice versa when you accelerate. Just my thoughts.

Same here.

Blower speed is indeed road speed sensitive (so are the wipers although I've never seen any difference....must be very subtle).

On my car this feature is not active 100% of the time. There might be some system logic at play that I don't understand and certainly never bothered to research. Seems to me that it is active only if "auto" mode is defeated. Not sure. I haven't given it much thought of late.

Cheers

Give the aspirator/cabin temp sensor a clean - my fan seems to behave rather more as you'd expect now that it's not insulated by a thick layer of dust!

It's mounted in the driver side under-dash trim panel, low and to the left. It's an easy matter to remove the trim panel and then remove the aspirator assembly from the panel

Just for completeness' sake - it's low and to the right for RHD cars! Behind the little squarish grill. On Doug's advice, I disassembled mine and gave it a drop of oil on either end of the fan shaft. My reason was to shut up the noise it was making, but I'm not complaining about it working better too!

Sit in the driver's seat. Observe the trim panel directly in front of your knees, then look a few inches above the hood release handle. You'll see a small opening that looks like a tiny speaker grille. The aspirator is behind the little grille opening.

Cheers
