Default A/C

Hi all went out today to check the low side pressure on my XJR A/C only as a check as it is starting to get warm again around here. Funny thing thought my gauges will not fit on the low side valve used for charging. It seems smaller than on my other cars even though they are all 134A system. Is there some adaptor I need to be able to get my gauges to fit?

Thanks

Was this a stupid question or am I missing something here?

R134a fittings are shouldered and use a quick release, R-12 uses regular Schrader valves. Does your manifold gauge have quick release fittings? Is it possible this car was converted from 134 to 12? Or the low-side pipe replaced with one using a Schrader valve?

No the line is 134A strange thing I borrowed an old set of gauges from my mate and his seem to fit fine. The ones I have fit my Chysler and Mazda CX7 and his GMC but will not fit onto the suction side on this Jag. It's very very strange I used his to top the off so no problems...
