1995 vdp. Had an issue with trying to program key fobs. Could not enter programming for the fobs. Did the trunk open, door open, valet switch 5x rock and never got a chirp to signal i was in programming mode. Doors would not lock out unlock by inserting the key in the driver's door. Would only unlock our unlock drivers door. Doors would not lock when our in drive. Would not enter alarm mode.
Installed a used security module 315mhz same as original one. ( im in US). I now get doors lock in drive, key in drivers door will lock and unlock all doors. Car will now go into alarm mode. Lock button on dash now works. When I go into programing mode for fobs, i get a chirp letting me know I'm in lrogramming mode.. i push the lock button on one of the 3 fobs that i have. Do not get a conformation chirp that the signal was recieved. Does not matter which fob i try to program. After 15 seconds, I get a double chirp letting me know it has gone out of programming mode due to inactivity. module? Appears that I am not getting a signal from the fob transmitters. (New cr2032 batteries and I get green and red lights on the fob's) Do I have an issue with the antenna for the fobs? Where is the connection from the antenna in the rear window for the fob transmitter? Does that antenna connect to the security control mofule?

FIRST: Install TWO NEW CR2016 batteries. (NOT CR2032)
The batteries need to be 20mm diameter, 1.6mm thick.
Go to an AUTOPARTS store and test the keyfob transmitter?(LEDs blink?)
See that the transmitter is putting out a signal AND the correct frequency.
Next, look at the rear windscreen for the aerial coax connection.
