Default Can't get into my car

I was tapping wires into the door triggers so that I can install a universal remote door opener when the alarm went off (can I disconnect it?) and I guess it locked the car doors which at some point I closed with my keys in the car. It is a new car for me and I never got a chance to put a spare key in my wallet. So my question is how can I get into my car?

What was wrong with the OEM Jaguar security system in the car and why were you TAPPING wires? (did you hit them gently or strike them violently?)

Were you TAPING wires with a plastic wrap? (TAPE)

Grammar and spelling mean so much at conveying messages.

You just need to use the OTHER key. (please tell us you have another key)

OH Dear.

Hindsight, dont we all love that.

As suggested, a Tibbe pick, or do what I did, rang road side assist, 20 seconds, in and gone.

Mine was the poverty pack, NO remote rubbish, key operated. I like that, as you KNOW you have the key in your hand.
I exited the car to get something from the windscreen, engine running, and the door closed, no big deal, but somehow it locked itself. OOPS.
The Jag Gods were upset about something.

Spare key, 400kms away, and son not answering his phone.

A suggestion to "brick the window" was not what I wanted to hear.

Not sure of your actual intention, however if using a universal remote door opening system connected through to your original security/alarm system, instructions are attached.
You might note that connection within the actual door wiring is not required, and the appropriate wiring diagram would be of assistance.

I believe the plastic binding straps found on much of today's heavy packaging have been used in the past to loop around the lock stem and actuate it. I haven't had occasion to try it, though I have saved a couple such straps for potential future attemps.

Plastic Binding Straps / How to use

This from help from Motorcarman ( Bob ) and something I added

Measure with a yard sick or string from the chrome ring the mechanical lock plunger goes into to the top of the glass

You will find it is longer then the wipers blade you have installed on the X300

Go to the auto parts store and look for a wiper blade longer then your glass measurement , the longer the better and 25 inch best

There will be some in the trash that will work

Remove the rubber blade from the metal arching back support

In removing the rubber blade you will find 2 thin stainless steel strips that support the rubber blade

Clip off and grind or sand down the sharp edges and barb on the stainless steel strips , one strip only and one end only

This strip you will insert from the top edge of the glass into the hole the mechanical lock plunger goes into

You will have to put a gentle long curve in the strip in order to hit to hole

This will be your guide to bring the plastic strap down and snare the lock plunger

Now the strap

Fold your plastic strap in half and form a slip loop , pinch the folds flat to better fit the gap between the glass and the window frame / chrome trim rubber seal

place the thin metal strip through the slip loop as it is sticking up and out the top glass edge

work the 2 long plastic strips down the gap on the side of the glass down until the loop is around the lock plunger

Remove the metal strip and tug the plastic strip from the side ( or aft ) to cinch up the slip loop on the plunger

Work the plastic strip up the glass edge to bring it over the top glass edge

Tug
