Car monitor issues
#21
The drive cycle for the X300 goes something like this
Let the engine warm up at idle for 15 mins
Then drive uphill for at least 10 seconds in 3rd gear at least 2000 rpm
Then drive at around 35-45mph and rapidly make 40 gear changes manually between 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
Then drive at least 3 miles on flat terrain at 35-45mph
(I normally then drive another 10 miles or so.)
Come to rest and raise engine rpm to 1500-2000 for 1 minute in neutral
Then let the engine idle for 2 minutes

Drive Cycle
I just wanted to chime in here and say that this drive cycle got my catalyst monitor to finally come online. I drove my Jaguar for about 400 miles and was stuck with 2 incomplete monitors (Catalyst and Evap Monitors) after doing this drive cycle which I was sure someone had to be pulling my leg because it just seemed crazy but what do you know it worked. Thank you for the info it really saved the day!
