hi, I am having a problem with the speed staying the same when I let off the gas pedal. I am also have a stall where the car wants to shut off, and check engine light flickers, but dosent stay on. The problem just started 2 days ago, also, as I am pressing the brake it seems like it takes longer for the speed to go down, and my rpms are higher until i make a complete stop. What can this be related to??? ANyone, please help!

 

Time to clean the throttle body?

I've got 85k mi. on mine, no problems, but thinking I'll take it off and clean it within the next couple of weeks. Is throttle pedal smooth? Seems I've heard they stiffen-up when it needs cleaning, but I may have it confused with another model.

 

Check the Idle control valve. Its in the throttle body and can stay open and cause this also.
