I’d love to be able to use the ‘96 vintage Motorola car phone handset to my iPhone. Motorola apparently sold this part of their business to Lenovo, but Lenovo couldn’t provide any support.

Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

It’s just cosmetic, although I have all the cables still installed. No one can tell me how to connect it to my iPhone.

 

maybe the easiest way would be using Bluetooth handsfree as interface device; wire the old handset as basically in to the mic/soundsource of the bluetooth device.

of course if one wants to use the keypad on the Motorola one needs something more hw for translating the dialing info over bluetooth? Like arduino and some sw magick?

I am basically electrics illiterate so this might be complete nonsense
