Daimler 4.0 lwb
Hello everyone! My name is Naz and im from Brunei Darussalam. My father in law just handed me a Daimler 4.0 LWB, my issue was the car has been sitting down in this big garage at the back since 2019. Now it has been out, changed into a new battery.
The car's problem is, brought it to several workshops i need to replace the whole suspensions/absorbers front and rears and etc. Tried to search for the parts online, it seems to keep taking me to jaguar X300, most of the sites Couldnt find my chassis number of the car as well. My question is, is it okay to use the part of X300 to my Daimler 4.0 lwb? As far as i can see, it seems like the front and rear absorber seems fit to the daimler. Really need your help as this car has so much sentimental value to me and my wife.
Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the forums Naz,
You have an X300 which is the factory code for the four door model manufactured from 1995 to 1997 with SWB and LWB body. The only difference between the Jaguar and Daimler variants is TRIM so you can use suspension parts listed fro the Jaguar X300.
Jaguar market the top of the range specification as Daimler except in the USA where Mercedes Benz have the rights to this name. In the USA they are marketed as Jaguar Vanden Plas.
Does this help decode the VIN?
