dash lights, gauges off, will this work?
Hi there, new here. my dash lights and gauges all don't work, I took the dash out and found that the one marked battery feed has no power but if i supply power to that and the 12v ignition feed when its on my desk everything lights up.
There is power to the 12v auxillary feed, can I just tap into that or is it only supplied at certain times? I tested the harness to find what ones didn't supply power. Also have issue with the seats don't work and the driver window, I'm guessing a break somewhere but don't know how to trace it. I have a fault tester coming in soon that is supposed to be compatible with this jag, so will see if it can read the other faults. any help would be appreciated thanks.

See page 22
X300 1996 LWB.pdf (jagrepair.com)
Fuse left heelboard fuse box fuse # 5 and # 12
Fuse 5 is hot at all times and fuse 12 requires the relay in the corner of the fuse box to close to be hot
To test this relay ..........with the ignition key in the run position but engine not started , remove the relay and it should click in your fingers back to the open position , reinstallit and it will click closed
Swapping option is the left engine bay fuse box relay which in reality only runs your car horn
