Have an interesting problem it seems, My fuel gauge, temp and oil gauge do not appear to go above half way. Thought it was strange the temp gauge didn't go up when the fans came on, but filled the tank up and the fuel gauge never went above half way still. Is this easy to rectify???

The temp and oil pressure gauges usually just sit around the half way mark as a matter of form. So, that would be normal. As for the fuel gauge, I wouldn't think it's related and is probably your fuel sender in the tank. Access seems to require the removal of the tank, although a member on here put up a post about how he accessed the fuel pump and sender, by making a cut out in the rear parcel shelf, beneath the parcel shelf cover. He gave a detailed description and it should be easy to find via a search. Maybe look for "fuel tank removal/modification/ fuel sender" or similar?

I agree with sogood that the oil pressure and coolant temperature gauges should typically remain at their half-way positions, and the problem with your fuel gauge is probably the sender. Assuming Julie's Jag is an X300 (always a good idea to add this info to your signature line so others don't have to guess) and assuming the Cambridge where you live is in the U.K. and not Massachusetts or another part of the world, the parts diagram at the link below shows how the sender mounts in a hole in the back side of the tank that can be accessed behind the bulkhead trim in the boot / trunk.
To test or replace the sender, you just need to be sure your petrol / gasoline level is below half a tank (preferably a quarter tank or less). The lock ring (part 9 in the diagram) is what holds the sender in place. To remove it, you tap on each of the three lugs successively to rotate the lock ring anti- / counter-clockwise until it releases. You can test for a smooth change in resistance over the full range of motion of the sender arm. If this is not the case, when installing the new sender, also use a new sealing ring (part 10 in the diagram).

caution just make sure your fuel level is almost on the empty or reserve level, the sending unit is about less than 1/4 level from the bottom of the tank
No Smoking please as the fuel fumes can cause a bad accident, as much as possible do the work in an open area where gas fumes can escape to the atmosphere.
