This project probably could have been it’s own thread.

It would be easier for someone looking for specifically this to find. I think plenty of people would like to learn about your project, and I’m worried that it’s buried in here.

Ok so….
an update…..

just took the plugs out today to do a compression test.
and have seen slight traces of oil in the spark plug wells.
it is not much at all.
i suspect that maybe it is over tightening the cam cover that has caused this.
i think being such a small amount it is not worth pulling the cover off and re-doing the gaskets.
am i right in this?
there is no oil on the coil boots at all.

the pics don’t even show it as it is.
You can see almost nothing at all.

no they were smooth. I think they were the uro ones that maybe are not the best.
it is likely that the surfaces were not fully flat due to the repair i had to do. And therefore some more gasket maker would have been appropriate to use.

in an ideal world i will re-do the gaskets but they are costly and i think at this point the issue is not worth it.
much bigger fish to fry like my high idle and my front crank seal

good news is compression is good.
all cylinders reading 150-160-psi
