The car is currently in getting a new water hose (old one slow leak and all soft and squishy), and a new set of front suspension bushes +/- ball joints to sort out 'wander'. Next move may be a new set of 225/65 x16 tyres - winter is coming Down Here
I'd hide it from winter weather. It does not drive well in the slightest in any snow accumulation at all.

my winter will involve some frosts, some rain, a typical cold day about 7 or 8 Celsius. Pretty lucky really. So the Daimler will get daily use unless there are electrical issues in the rain.
cheers.

with the Andy 5' advance bracket, 98 RON fuel with about 2 mL/L TC-W3 outboard oil in it, I had a long run today.
Very early start, no traffic, did 120 km in the first hour with bursts up to the ton (my best average ever in NZ - hard to average more than 90 km in an hour with our roads), and got 21 mpg (Imperial gallons - 4 1/2 litres).
On return run in steady traffic with a few bursts, doing about 90-120 km/h, I got 27mpg over 110 miles...
I have no comparisons 'before bracket' for a long run.

the 3.2 is a superb high-speed cruiser, but doesn't have the immediate low-down torque for overtaking. However it feels more than 3.2 litres/215 bhp. The gearbox is a different animal after 3 part-changes of synthetic ATF this month - I can't recommend this treatment highly enough. Also replaced driveshaft hanger-bearing which was worn out and causing vibrations above 60km/h, and probably absorbing some horsepower

I have just repeated 0-60mph times again with 'Dynolicious' (iPhone app)-
two runs, 8.7 and 9.1 secs with the above maintenance plus 5' bracket. A good improvement on pre-bracket runs of 9.9sec

I have now e-mailed Andy! I fail to see how manners have entered the request.

well, there are restrictions on advertising on forums, and Andy doesn't want to get himself in trouble with admins. So pretty much everyone knows the price, but nobody says out loud. And if somebody doesn't know, then it's just a simple case of emailing Andy. Simples.

just received my bracket this afternoon and it's already installed. supremely easy install, in case anyone still had doubts. took all of 5 minutes of actual work

after a quick road test, she seems a little livelier/more responsive to the throttle

Cool stodard brkt. A MUST

My project is a 1994 xj40, 4.0 litre, Im in California where emissions are stringent to say the least. I installed the bracket about 6 months ago. I was getting 16 miles per gallon average before bracket after bracket up to 19 m.p.g. This bracket with a couple of little modifications such as removing stock air box replacing with K&N Filter (cone) modification to pre cats elimination of cats, replacing muflers with magna flow muffler and eliminating silencers. Car now runs 74 m.p.h. at 3200 r.p.m. at 27 m.p.g. and around town averages 22 m.p.g., remember to keep throttle body clean vacuum lines sealed, EGR clean, stock spark plugs and the rear end lubed end result 0-60 m.p.h. 7.9 seconds. PEACE

can you remove the cats and not affect air/fuel ratio due to the oxygen sensors? i removed the second pair but havent touched the downpipe pair thinking it will mess up.

The oxygen sesnors will work to control air:fuel ratio correctly, even if there are no catalysts fitted. However, the car is unlikely to pass any in-use emissions requirements.

BTW, I have just taken delivery of my latest batch of brackets, so I have them in stock for anyone who wants one.
