Default Do the X300's have air lock doors?

hello, I have recently had installed a aftermarket security system on my car, and sometimes it requires me to press the lock/unlock several times before the doors would open or lock. I was told there is a delay because the locks have air in them. Is this true? If anyone knows please get back to me, thank you.

"....because the locks have air in them" ?? That sounds pretty weird to me.

IMHO, having to press the buttons several times sounds more like "inoperative" rather than "delay". Is there a relationship between the problem and how far away you are from the car?

Does the system use the Jaguar fobs or its own fobs? IME, the Jaguar fobs are not very strong...that is, don't emit a very strong signal.

Or....maybe the antenna on the aftermarket receiver needs to be repositioned? it's usually just a length of wire 12" long or so. Try repositioning it.

Maybe I'm not understanding the problem correctly?

Cheers

Nope no airlocks the only brand i know that have been using that is mercedes. The one you have are normal electronic actuators.

Sounds like something isn't right with your alarm system

My old 1985 JETTA uses Vacuum for the door/boot locks. It was a German thing 'back in the day'.
