Behind the left rear tire is the fuel filter . the inboard line goes up into the fuel tank

Yes you can.

BUT be careful as there is a tin shield thing just nearby that will cut the hell out of you.

The pipes are the "Quick connect" style, and the special tool, readily available, is needed.

PUSH UP on the pipe, with the tool inserted as one unit, then withdraw as one unit. Some fuel splillage will happen, but not much.

I am assuming the system has been de-pressurised?????
