Drivers door stuck closed
The drivers side door is stuck closed on my new xjr, I belive the cable is off/broken.Is there a way to get the door panel off without damaging anything? Door lock is in the up position but when I try to open it from the inside (exterior door handle is broken) I get no feedback like it isn't connected to anything.

The inside door handle has lost its anchor at the end of the cable. Common.
Undo the inside handle cup, slide the wood trim forward and it will unclip in 2 places and come off. Undo 2 screws that were behind wood trim. the front of the door panel will still be attached and the 2 attachment points are unreachable with the door closed.
You should be able to lift up on the rear of the upper panel enough to disengage the clips at the top of the panel that hold it against the door and window. Slide the rubber window trim off the panel if you can. with window down, you will hopefully have enough space to get a long tool into the door to pull forward on the interior door latch lever where the cable end should be. Also try to push DOWN on the outside door handle latch lever, whichever you can reach.
Rig up a wire from the inner door latch so you can at least use the door from the inside. You might be able to use a bicycle brake cable with a stop at the end to replace the inner handle cable. Used levers with cable can be found on ebay.
There is a plastic lever that attaches the outer door handle to the latch. Maybe it has come loose, or it might be broken. Its fixable too.
Once door is open, upper panel can come off, then lower panel, then the latch itself can be accessed and removed if need be. There is a lot of info in this forum on the subject.
